The idea is simple. Property development outcomes improve when cost decisions are governed with discipline, independence, and evidenced commercial judgement.
The QS Company is a RICS regulated chartered quantity surveying and commercial advisory. We provide structured cost assurance services to property developers, lenders, and capital providers through the Development Cost Assurance Framework™.
Why We Exist
The firm was established in response to an issue recurring across the property development sector where we could see a solution.
Projects rarely fail because of lack of ambition or intent. More often it is because early cost risk is poorly understood. Developers and their partners become exposed to avoidable cost risk even before ground is broken.
We can help solve that problem.
Our Role
Our role is to reduce cost risk and protect developer margin. We do this through structured cost assurance applied at the points where commercial outcome is determined.
Thus we deliver robust quantity surveying and cost management, and apply independent and evidence-based judgement at key decision points. Our reporting is suitable for all relevant stakeholders.
